Airtime Credit Service is a value added service that allows Econet prepaid subscribers to borrow USD or ZWG airtime and/or bundles with a fixed interest which will be recovered on the subscriber’s next airtime recharge.
Customers are able to borrow airtime and/or bundles by dialling *179# or by using the My Econet application.
A customer is charged an average of 15% on USD advances and 43% on ZWG advances.
A customer must be active on the network for at least 3 months, and their main account usage should be 4 times the denomination they require. The more the customer’s usage the higher the denomination they qualify for.
A customer is only eligible for one currency credit determined by their usage on the network over a 90-day period.
The credit will be deducted from the customer’s next airtime recharge.
Customers are encouraged to repay their credit within seven working days.
