Product Terms, Operational Rules, and Precedence Mechanics

1. Introduction and Scope
  • These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the purchase, allocation, and usage of the XtraData Bundle (also referred to as the “Flexi Bundle” or “Product”) provided by Econet Wireless. By purchasing or using this Product, the Customer agrees to be legally bound by these Terms.
2. Definitions
  • “XtraData Bundle” refers to the core dual-component mobile data package offering purchased by the customer, containing both a Main Bundle and a Bonus Bundle.
  • “Main Bundle” refers to the primary, customer-paid data allocation associated with the Product purchase.
  • “Bonus Bundle” refers to the promotional, auxiliary data allocation awarded to the customer alongside the purchase of the Main Bundle.
  • “Precedence” refers to the sequence and prioritization order in which active data balances are depleted during session usage.
3. Purchase Channels and Eligibility

XtraData Bundles are available for purchase to all eligible customers on the network through the following official purchase channels:

  • USSD Menu (*143#)
  • My Econet Mobile Application
  • EcoCash Mobile Application
  • Approved network third-party dealer platforms
4. Consumption and Precedence Mechanics

4.1 Sequential Consumption Rule

The XtraData Bundle features strict sequential consumption. The Bonus Bundle and the Main Bundle cannot be used concurrently. Priority is strictly allocated as follows:

  • The Bonus Bundle is always placed first in precedence and is consumed first.
  • Consumption automatically transitions to the Main Bundle only when the Bonus Bundle is either fully depleted or has expired, whichever occurs first.

4.2 Delayed Activation of Main Bundle Validity

To maximize value for the customer, the validity period of the Main Bundle does not commence at the time of purchase. Instead, the validity of the Main Bundle is deferred and officially activates only upon the depletion or expiry of the corresponding Bonus Bundle.

  • Consequently, the Main Bundle cannot expire while the Bonus Bundle is still active.
5. Expiry, Forfeiture, and Accumulation

5.1 Expiry of the Bonus Bundle

The Bonus Bundle is a promotional allocation and is subject to a shorter validity period than the Main Bundle. Any unused portion of the Bonus Bundle will expire and be forfeited at the end of its stated validity period.

5.2 Forfeiture of Unused Balances

If both the Bonus Bundle and Main Bundle reach their respective expiry limits, any remaining unused data balances in either bundle will be permanently forfeited in accordance with the network’s standard bundle expiry policies.

5.3 Multiple Bundle Purchases (Accumulation)

If a customer purchases an additional XtraData Bundle while a current bundle is still active, the new allocations will accumulate and consume in line with the network’s standard bundle accumulation and consumption rules. It remains the responsibility of the customer to monitor the respective validity windows of all active data allocations.

6. Balance Inquiries

Customers may query their outstanding Main Bundle and Bonus Bundle balances at any time, free of charge, through any of the following service channels:

  • USSD: Dialing *143#
  • My Econet Mobile Application
  • Yamurai (WhatsApp chatbot assistance)
  • My Web Selfcare portal
7. General Provisions & Support Escalations
  • The network reserves the right to modify the pricing, structures, or terms of the XtraData Bundles.
