Econet Annual Corporate Golf Day – Terms and Conditions

General
  • Participation in the Econet Annual Corporate Golf Day (the “Event”) constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions
  • The Event is organised by Econet Wireless Zimbabwe (Private) Limited (“Econet”), and all participants, guests, and attendees are required to comply with the rules and conditions set out below.
Eligibility and Registration
  • Participation is by invitation or confirmed registration only.
  • Corporate teams must consist of registered employees or authorised guests of the participating company.
  • Registrations are non-transferable unless approved in writing by Econet.
  • Econet reserves the right to decline or cancel any registration without obligation to provide reasons.
Code of Conduct
  • Participants are expected to uphold professional and ethical standards throughout the event.
  • Unsportsmanlike behaviour, intoxication, or harassment of any kind will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Econet reserves the right to remove or ban any participant whose conduct disrupts the event.
Liability and Insurance
  • Participation in the event is entirely voluntary, and all participants acknowledge that golf and associated activities carry inherent risks of physical injury.
  • Econet and host venue shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, or theft of personal property.
  • Medical support will be available on-site, but personal health coverage and insurance remain the responsibility of each participant
Fair Play and Cheating
  • All players are expected to play in accordance with the official Rules of Golf.
  • Cheating, score manipulation, or any unsportsmanlike conduct will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of any prizes
  • The Tournament Committee’s decisions on scoring disputes or rule breaches shall be final and binding.
  • Players are encouraged to report any breaches of fair play to the Tournament Director or designated marshal.
Prizes and Awards Policy
  • Prizes are awarded based on official results as verified by the Tournament Committee.
  • Only registered players who have completed their round in accordance with tournament rules are eligible for prizes.
  • In the event of a tie, winners will be determined by countback system or as otherwise stipulated by the Tournament Committee.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and must be collected in person during the prize-giving ceremony.
  • If a winner is not present during the ceremony, Econet reserves the right to forfeit or reassign the prize.
  • Econet and its sponsors reserve the right to substitute prizes of equivalent value without prior notice.
Photography and Videography Consent
  • By attending or participating in the event, all attendees voluntarily consent to being photographed, filmed, or otherwise recorded by Econet or its authorised representatives during the event
  • This includes, but is not limited to, images, video footage, sound recordings, interviews, or other media content captured at the venue.
Ownership of Media Content
  • All photographs, video recordings, or other media captured at the Event shall be considered the sole and exclusive property of Econet Wireless Zimbabwe.
  • Econet retains full ownership rights, including but not limited to the rights of reproduction, distribution, broadcast, and public display of the materials in any form or medium, whether now known or developed in the future.
Use of Images and Footage

Econet reserves the right to use, publish, or display the captured content for marketing, promotional, corporate communications, public relations, and archival purposes without any further consent, notice, or compensation to the participant. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Corporate and social media channels
  • Television and radio promotions
  • Internal or external newsletters and reports
  • Print materials such as brochures, flyers, or banners
  • Website and online publications
Waiver of Claims
  • By participating in the event, attendees waive all claims against Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, its employees, agents, or contractors for any use of the recorded materials, including claims based on rights of privacy, publicity, or defamation.
Event Changes
  • Econet reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify any aspect of the event in the event of unforeseen circumstances, including adverse weather conditions, venue issues, or public health considerations.
Acknowledgement
  • By registering for, attending, or participating in the Econet Annual Corporate Golf Day, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, including the consent to photography and video usage as stated above
