ZESA on Credit Terms and Conditions

TERMS and CONDITIONS

Section A

  1. ZESA on credit services are open to active Econet prepaid customers who have been on the network for at least 3 months.

  2. To access the service, customers dial USSD shortcode. The customer will dial the shortcode *179# and select the option of ZESA credit. 

  3. Payback for the credit will be done within 7 days or upon next airtime recharge.

  4. The service enables qualifying mobile customers to have access to ZESA on credit at any time of the day.

  5. A customer is only eligible for one credit at a time, which is to be recovered on their next airtime top-up. 

  6. Upon paying back what was borrowed, the customer can borrow again. 

  7. Borrowing is dependent on meeting the credit scoring criteria and having no outstanding debt.

Section B

  1.  A customer can borrow as many times as possible as long as the above conditions are met.
  2. Credit airtime repayment conditions are as follows:

    1 ZESA on Credit repayment must be done within 7 days from date of advancement

    Repayment due date= ZESA on Credit token advance date + 7

  3. ZESA on credit advanced to customers is to attract a service fee which depends on the value of electricity credit advanced and will be recovered on subscriber next airtime top-up.
  4. Value of electricity on credit advanced is calculated as follows: Electricity on credit advanced + applicable service fee
  5. Qualification criteria for ZESA on credit are based on calculated customer score which is derived from:
  6. Customer subscription status (active)
  7. Customer previous behavioural top-ups

Section C

  1. Customers can access ZESA on credit as many times as they wish for as long as they have repaid previous ZESA on credit advances.
  2. If a subscriber does not repay on time, they will be suspended from using the service for 14 days after repayment.
  3. In the event there is a failed attempt in subscribing to the service originating from a customer error, funds will not be refundable. Notwithstanding the above, if the error is system related, following an internal investigation a refund which is equivalent to the charges shall be provided by Econet Wireless.
  4. All queries pertaining to the service should be directed to Econet Wireless’ Customer Care by calling toll free number 111 or visiting Econet Service centres.
